Gilboa Project
During the initial stage of the project, a 550-meter-deep high-pressure shaft was excavated using the drill-and-blast method as part of the Gilboa Pumped-Storage Project. The shaft had an initial diameter of 5.5 meters.
In the second stage, a concrete lining was cast to achieve a final diameter of 4.5 meters, using a climbing formwork system in a continuous 107-day operation.
